Overview

Most public driving datasets are recorded in Europe, North America or China, where cars dominate the road. In Vietnam and much of Southeast Asia, motorbikes outnumber cars many times over, weave through intersections in dense clusters, carry passengers and cargo, and share the road with street vendors and pedestrians.

This dataset captures that reality with smartphone photos taken at street level: rush hour, rain, night, intersections, roundabouts, alleys and market streets. Every image is shot by a person, reviewed by a person and processed to remove personal data before delivery.

Sample photos

Real photos from this topic, shown at reduced resolution. Full-resolution samples are emailed on request.

  • Dense morning traffic in central Ho Chi Minh City: motorbikes and an SUV waiting at a junction between office towers
  • Street between high-rise apartment towers at dusk, seen from a car's driver seat, with parked cars and a passing motorbike
  • Evening street with motorbikes passing parked scooters outside shops and a hotel, under street lights and power lines
  • Two-lane rural road at a red traffic light with motorbikes and cars, rice fields on both sides under cloudy sky

Use cases

  • Two-wheeler detection

Train or fine-tune object detectors (YOLO, DETR, RT-DETR) on dense scenes where motorbikes overlap and occlude each other.

  • ADAS & autonomous driving

Close the domain gap for driver-assistance systems that must operate in motorbike-heavy Southeast Asian traffic.

  • Smart city analytics

Traffic counting, congestion analysis and helmet-usage studies from camera networks.

  • Vision-language models

Add human-written captions describing traffic situations to train or evaluate VLMs on underrepresented regions.

How this data is collected

  1. 1Captured on a smartphone by a person
  2. 2Duplicates and near-duplicates removed
  3. 3Blurry and broken images filtered out
  4. 4Faces and license plates detected and blurred
  5. 5Every image reviewed by a person
  6. 6GPS stripped; device EXIF kept
  7. 7Labels, captions and metadata.jsonl generated

Frequently asked questions

Are the license plates and faces visible?

No. Plates and identifiable faces are blurred before delivery. The blur is applied automatically and every image is then reviewed by a person.

Can you collect specific scenes, such as night rain or a particular city?

Yes. Describe the scenes, conditions and quantity you need in a request and we will reply with matching sample photos and a quote.

Do you provide bounding-box annotations?

Bounding boxes can be added on request. Tell us the class list you need and we will include it in the quote.

Is this data synthetic or generated?

No. Every image is an original smartphone photo taken by a person. No generative AI is used to create or alter image content.

How does payment work for a bundle?

You pay a 50% deposit at checkout and the balance when we deliver the final bundle. Free sample photos are available above before you order, and the deposit is refunded in full if we cannot deliver the agreed spec.

Why is a bundle so much cheaper per image than a single image?

A bundle is planned and collected as one job, so capture, review and privacy processing cost far less per photo. Single images are priced for buyers who need just a few specific photos.

What is the difference between non-exclusive and Exclusive?

With Research or Commercial we may license the photos collected for your order to other buyers later. With Exclusive they are never licensed to anyone else or added to our catalog.

Can I order a different quantity or extra annotations?

Yes. Request a custom quote with the quantity, annotations and deadline you need. Prices per image fall as quantity grows.

Need a variation?

Different angles, lighting, locations, quantity or labels? Describe it and we reply within 48 hours with matching samples and a quote.
